Hiking
Hiking is a big part of Deerfield’s fitness program, and it’s great for cardio-vascular endurance, functional resistance training, core stability, and neuromuscular conditioning.
Since we’re just minutes from some of the Northeast’s great trails, including the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and the famed Appalachian Trail, our outings, whether beginner, intermediate, or advanced, are world-class.

Deerfield’s guides are also trained naturalists, so our hikes are full of observation about the natural world. And since some routes pass waterfalls and swimming holes, you may want a refreshing dip during warmer weather.
